Tycoon Tycoon
Everyone's bored of Tycoon games nowadays. But at a tenner a pop, who can refuse? The truth is, people still buy these games by the bucket load. Why? On the strength of Chris Sawyer's games? Perhaps. Maybe it's actually a cheap way to insulate your house. However, the bottom is about to fall out of the market, and the Tycoon game will become an anachronism like the cutesy 2D platformer of the 1980s.
This is why 'Tycoon Tycoon' needs to be made; it will hasten the demise of the 'Tycoon' genre.
You play a games designer who is just about to run out of ideas. Desperate, you decide to spend a small sum of money on a tried and tested formula, just so you can stay in business: you design a (wait for it) Tycoon game. 'Tycoon Tycoon' offers seven (yes, seven!) different sorts of Tycoon game for you to 'design.' You get to pick the colours and design the crappy stereotypical characters. You can even write the tired jokes that these characters utter.
The aim of the game is: can you flood the market with your half-assed resource management simulation and still stay in business? Can you? Can you? Can you????
